If anyone has any ideas for additional boards (boards being the categories - such as Regular Talk Town, Media Zoo, etc) please put em here!
I'm also considering doing some consolidation. Please give your feedback regarding:
- merging The Brain Hole into Regular Talk Town
- merging Community College and Handy Help Corner into one "learning and doing and helping" board
Here's a few ideas we had that haven't been implemented because they felt too specific or too esoteric. Let us know if any of them sound like something you'd like to see and use:
- The Kitchen: (just, everything about food and cooking, and even gardening, farming, foraging etc)
- The Temple / The Alter: (a space for discussions of magic, spirituality, religion, and mythology. but i think it's fine that that's all sorta been lumped in with The Mystery Zone)
- Personal Blog space: (as in, in this board each person gets exactly one thread that they post in as if it's their blog)
- The castaways / graveyard: (a board where forgotten threads that have never been responded to get moved to as a sort of shrine / gallery)
- the battledome: (maybe my worst idea ever and definitely shouldn't exist: a place specifically for arguments and flame wars that any thread gets move to if it turns into a flame war. uhhhh hopefully we'll never need something like this)
Based on a conversation from tonight:
Meeting Rooms - a place where you can hold your personal group chats, should you so choose, although they will be public obviously. Came to mind after it was wildly suggested to use the forum for housemate group chats.
What'dya think? Is this an absolutely horrible idea? or very much in the spirit of the forum?
